Dozier Elementary Remodel Goes UP$

Forty year old Dozier Elementary School Montgomery County is going to be needing another $500,000 to fix mold problems during a budget deficit. The full cost of renovations is slated to be 2.3 million and involves new heat and air and gutting the school. Mold spores were found in three classrooms. The expected renovations will make the building up to date, they say, for another 40 years. Additional changes include eliminating two education specialists who work out of the professional services center in exchange for an additional director of professional development.
