Mold Attacks Norris Recreational Center

St. Charles School District 303 is investigating mold in a racquetball court at the Norris Recreational Center. Mold in the district already has caused respiratory infections, asthma attacks, migraine headaches, tiredness and dizziness in students and employees. St. Charles East High School was closed for 18 months and $29 million spent in removing mold—but not in the fitness facility. Norris Recreation Center has its own board of directors. The structure predates vapor barriers.

Mold has been found between the wallboard and the concrete block backing.
