Some quick and easy rules about mold.
1. Keep it dry and that’s half the battle. (It refers to your environment.)
2. If a porous item is contaminated with mold, toss it out.
3. If a non-porous item has superficial mold, it can be cleaned with a bleach-water solution, or a specialized cleanser. Make sure that it is completely dry before you store it away.
4. Mold spores get caught in the air conditioning filter. If humidity or dampness gets into the filter, then you’re on the way to a crop of mold.So toss out filters in a timely fashion.
